“Experimenting with amber” I

Anyone who has ever held a piece of amber in their hands can understand the fascination that this material has always exerted on people. A “stone” as light as paper that exudes a fragrant scent when rubbed and can be electrostatically charged. It is flammable and becomes transparent when polished. Together we want to get to the bottom of the attraction of amber. We will carry out lots of little experiments and take a look at our current special exhibition “Electrum mundi – Worlds of Amber”. Afterwards, we will cut and polish the amber ourselves to hopefully unlock its secrets! At the end, you will be rewarded with a sparkling souvenir.

You are also welcome to bring your own finds!
